An audio-visual piece from our ‘The Motorway Service Station as a Destination in its Own Right’ exhibition from 2013. The exhibition- created to coincide with the second Sheffield Poetry Festival – consisted of a series of photographic responses to our patron Simon Armitage’s poetry pamphlet of the same name. The book includes the poem ‘Gymnasium’, which Simon reads here alongside music and photographs by Bank Street Arts residents Ian Baxter and Andrew Conroy. The exhibition also featured work by Jessa Fairbrother, Andy Brown, Tribble and Mancenido, Alex Curry, Andrew Robinson, Sam Mellish, Si Barber, Richard Chivers, Simon Carruthers and David Barnes.
