Noel Williams becomes our first Poet in Residence with a wide ranging brief to develop his own work and also make the Centre a real hub for poetry in the city.
Noel is currently working on a sequence of poems about women and war and wants both a physical space to finish off this project but also the opportunity to involve others critically and creatively in what he is doing.
Noel also intends to involve other writers from the MA in Creative Writing at Sheffield Hallam University in his residency project via readings, discussion groups etc. In addition, Noel hopes to collaborate with other other creative practitioners to bring his poetry ‘off the page’
