The Bare Project: Bear with Snow

4/12/2012

A little boy releases a circus bear into the night. He believes he has set her free, put her back in her proper place, but when a storm the size of five winters hits the city, he knows he must go out into the snow and find her. If you can bear the snow, come with him and meet hula-hooping circus folk, street people bound together by the shared ownership of a pair of glasses and a pair of boots and enchanting medical men who follow the cold so they can be warm.

Bear with Snow uses live music, projection, puppetry and installation to bring the story of Luka and his bear to life. Bank Street Arts will be transformed into a snowy city, where you can (quite literally) lose yourself in the story.
